Lucid Motors is seeking a Technical Program Manager, PWT Battery Pack Manufacturing Equipment
to lead program management activities of our highly advanced & automated battery pack manufacturing lines. This role, based in
Newark, CA
,will involve a focus on engineering change management, with an emphasis on delivery and execution in high‑stakes compressed timing environments.

You will:
  • Act as primary PMO point of contact between Design Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing engineering for product and equipment changes.
  • Understand product design changes on manufacturing equipment impact.
  • Implement and track changes presented from the New Product Introduction team.
  • Manage
    project timelines, budgets, and risks
    for equipment build, testing, and shipment.
  • Enforce
    key business and technical criteria
    standards during equipment validation.
  • Coordinate
    FAT/SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)and sign‑off pre‑shipment.
  • Report progress, escalat bottlenecks, and ensure
    seamless equipment implementation and validation.
  • Fundamental understanding of Machine Tool Building mechanical, electrical, controls to build automation equipment from design to buyoff.
  • Fundamental understanding of all site installation requirements including Electrical, foundation, air, etc.
  • Ensure the project team is prioritizing tasks and completing them to meet project milestones.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments to mitigate timeline and cost impacts.
  • Gain holistic knowledge of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies to understand and mitigate risks, as well as to recognize optimization opportunities.
  • Manage on‑site installation planning with equipment integrators.
  • Develop and execute FAT/SAT requirements for equipment buyoffs with integrators.
  • Create and modify Microsoft Project/ Smartsheet schedules.
You bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in battery manufacturing engineering/ project management.
  • Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling (EOAT), pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor and laser cleaning/ metrology.
  • Experience with
    EV-specific (required)
    Battery Pack & Module production lines
    , GD&T, Laser welding, Wire bonding, barcode reading, vision system inspection, potting, HV testing, ASRS equipment, End of line testing, Adhesive applications, box cutting automation.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD (must have).
  • Working Knowledge of Catia and Delmia (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (domestic and international).
  • Possess knowledge and experience across multiple functions within product design and manufacturing.
  • Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
