As an Associate Manager, Financial Reporting you will support the Controllers team in the Individual Life Insurance (ILI) business, documenting accounting policies on GAAP and statutory bases for ILI and the Closed Block Division (CBD), and executing a quality SOX & MAR control environment. The role works closely with senior business leadership and is integral to project teams, strategy execution, and policy implementation.
Responsibilities- Document and support accounting policy for transactions such as capital management projects, actuarial and investment initiatives, new products, and new accounting guidelines.
- Implement and govern new product implementation.
- Support the SOX/MAR control framework in ILI and CBD.
- Manage relationships with corporate centers and internal parties such as Corporate Controllers, Financial Services Organization, Risk Management, Legal, Tax, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with others to drive strategy and execution.
- GAAP and statutory accounting & reporting experience in the insurance industry, including basic knowledge of insurance GAAP and statutory accounting policies.
- Introductory level understanding of insurance‑related actuarial concepts and reinsurance.
- Degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA designation with public accounting experience.
- Salary range: $89,000.00 – $ (location dependent).
