We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team, specializing in the treatment of patients with hemophilia. In this role, you will provide tailored rehabilitation and physical therapy services, addressing the unique needs of patients suffering from this chronic condition. The ideal candidate will manage hemophilia‑related complications and demonstrate a strong commitment to improving patient quality of life through evidence‑based therapeutic techniques.
QualificationsRequired:
- Current NJ Licensure
- Successful completion of all orientation programs
- Experience with hemophilia treatment or willingness to obtain relevant training is a plus.
- Available Thursdays during hemophilia clinic.
- BLS certification

- Provide physical therapy services to individuals with hemophilia, focusing on improving joint mobility, strength, and function.
- Work closely with hematologists and other healthcare professionals to manage and prevent hemophilia‑related musculoskeletal issues, such as joint damage and muscle weakness.
- Educate patients on appropriate physical activity and exercise regimens to reduce bleeding risks and improve overall physical function.
- Develop safe rehabilitation programs post‑bleeding episodes or surgeries, ensuring the prevention of further complications.
- Provide thorough education to patients and their families on managing hemophilia, emphasizing self‑management techniques and lifestyle adjustments.
- Advocate for patient needs, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support systems.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and dietitians, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, documenting all assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Ensure that all treatment plans and interventions are compliant with relevant healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
