Job Overview

The Data Integrity Specialist supports the Patient Access Department Leadership with key operational, and revenue cycle reporting functions. The Data Integrity Specialist provides direct and indirect support to management team by analyzing key performance indicators, track and trend data to identify issues. The Data Integrity Specialist will utilize revenue cycle reports to analyze data, research root causes and assist in the development of action plans to improve processes and eliminate the loss of revenue.

The role will play a key part in driving the success of the Revenue Cycle KPIs by utilizing data to identify and resolve issues within the Patient Access and overall Revenue Cycle Operations. The Specialist will be a key player in creating action plans to improve processes related to the Revenue Cycle KPIs, will be responsible for creating reports to display their findings as well as tracking results of improvement plans.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 5 years in management/leadership role
  • Knowledge in all aspects of Patient Access work flows
  • Advanced Excel experience required
  • Medical terminology and computer skills

Preferred:

  • College degree preferred
Scheduling Requirements
  • Shift/Vary- 7:00am – 3:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full Time/Day
Essential Functions
  • Utilize system generated reports to analyze data
  • Analyze data to identify issues and areas of opportunity
  • Create tracking and trending reports for each issue
  • Provide summary findings to leadership teams when needed
  • Assist with creating action plans to address and resolve issues
  • Develop reports to quantify the value and financial risk for each area
  • Work the Patient Access, clinical departments and other Revenue Cycle teams to develop standard reports and expectations
  • Participate in the Revenue Cycle meetings and report on trends and areas of focus
  • Meet with Patient Access leadership to collaborate on areas of risk and revenue loss and develop trending reports associated to each area
  • Audits and reviews work flow, patient processing and quality standards
  • Identifies areas of improvement, creates and monitors routine reports to ensure data integrity
  • Researches and maintains statistics on all errors or inconsistencies that exist
  • Provides recommendations for improvements
  • Creates monthly statistical analyses which supports the department performance improvement initiatives
  • Prepares, creates and develops reports to support organizational initiatives such as, Revenue Cycle Committee and Denials Task Force and clinical trials
  • Manages the distribution of the reports and validates the accuracy and reliability of the data being presented
  • Other duties as assigned
