Job OverviewConducts EKGs on patients of all age groups, with the exception of pediatric patients.
Performs edits on EKGs utilizing hospital management system (MUSE).
QualificationRequired:
- High School Diploma
- Certification EKG interpretation
- 1 year experience

- Performs 12-lead EKGs according to departmental policy throughout medical center
- Prepares EKGs for Cardiologist review & performs all necessary editing utilizing hospital system (MUSE).
- Distributes finalized EKGs to referring physician or to in-patient clinical unit.
- Troubleshoot EKGs performed on nursing units to eliminate duplicates & errors.
- Enter charges in the hospital system (SMS)
- Provides translation for Hispanic & Portuguese speaking patients
- Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service
- Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
- Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.
- Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc.
- Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate
