About the Role
The main role of the Registered Dietitian is to evaluate and provide nutritional guidance and interventions for clients across all age groups, including Pediatrics (birth to 18 years), Adults (19–64 years), and Geriatrics (65–95+ years), based on their nutritional risks and educational needs.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
- Assess and intervene for clients of all ages (Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric) based on nutritional risk and education needs
- Complete nutrition assessments within required time frames per NJ State Health Code and policies
- Triage clients to determine care level, reassessment timing, and care intensity
- Document all care in the electronic medical record per policy
- Collect and interpret data (diet history, labs, physical findings, etc.) to assess nutrition status
- Identify nutrition problems and write PES statements (Problem, Etiology, Signs/Symptoms)
- Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) to detect and prevent malnutrition
- Collaborate with care teams and participate in rounds and discharge planning
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Master’s degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $70,842.00 - $ annually.
