Ready to build the foundation of your software engineering career in a growth-focused program? Amazon is looking for highly motivated students to join the Jr. Developer Program (JDP). As a Jr. Software Development Engineer (Jr. SDE), you will write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers who provide guidance and opportunities for ownership. As a year-round intern, you will be fully integrated into a team and regularly contribute to impactful deliverables.

Your designs and code will help solve complex technical challenges at Amazon.

Program Highlights
  • Part-time work during the school year (16 hours/week)
  • Full-time work during the summer (40 hours/week)
  • 1:1 mentoring with an experienced Amazonian
  • Bi-annual performance reviews designed to support ongoing growth and development
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
  • Graduating June 2028 and beyond.
  • Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • Ability to work year-round until graduation (part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer).
  • Able to start work in June 2026.
  • Ability to work in person year-round at the Madrid corporate office. (This role is not offered remote or hybrid and all working hours must be in office.)
  • Must be living within commutable distance to Madrid.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.
  • Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work through ambiguity.
