The Hotel Maintenance Manager is responsible for hotel preventative maintenance to ensure the Fleet meets brand standards and guests’ expectations. The Manager is responsible for all interior routine maintenance/replacement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment, working with Hotel Operations and Designers on needs assessments and preparing scope of project documents. The Manager manages all phases of refurbishment and ongoing maintenance to ensure that all hotel related items installed are in accordance with contract, design specifications, budget, guests’ standards, compliance of regulations, safety requirements, and as directed.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and present implementation plans, budgets, and project timelines to Senior Leadership.
  • Establish timeline for routine maintenance and/or replacements of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Manage ticket system during season for required hotel maintenance, FF&E replacements and refurbishments that require shore side vendor.
  • Ensure projects are accomplished following applicable regulatory requirements and that all documents are updated and archived.
  • Facilitate effective communication between contractors, crew, and management.
  • Oversee and onsite manage refurbishment projects.
  • Generate and distribute reports to provide status updates throughout the season and/or during the refurbishment period.
  • Maintain Fleet during operation in collaboration with shipboard crew and/or shore side contractors.
  • Review drawings and specifications presented by architects and designers, considering functionality, operational needs, and budget.
  • Prepare bid documents and design and technical specifications.
  • Advise and participate in contract negotiations and selection of vendors.
  • Ensure selected specifications comply with the safety and environmental regulations established by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Understand construction principles and read plans and drawings.
  • Maintain contact with contractors and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, designers, and managers to assure the project is completed to specifications and on time.
  • Monitor costs to assure budget is maintained.
  • Perform onsite inspections to ensure quality and assurance of work completed on time.
  • Ensure construction trades follow plans and build as designed.
  • Supervise contractors and coordinate the build schedule with the Hotel, Marine, and Engineering department to provide on time and on budget delivery.
  • Evaluate final results and provide feedback in regard to process improvements and enhancements for future refurbishments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Hotels, Cruise Ships and Project Management.
  • B.S. in Management, Hospitality, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • US Coast Guard regulated pre‑employment drug test.
  • TWIC required upon employment.

Work Schedule
  • Position requires Manager to be on site during refurbishments.
