Scale Operator-2nd Shift

Job Summary

The scale house operator person is responsible for the operation and security of the scale house at the plant, ensuring all work is carried out in an efficient manner and following all coast guard regulations.

• Responsible to monitor and record all visitors on and off the property.
• Responsible to weigh all trucks entering /exiting the facility and as needed before and after off-loading.
• Required to accurately fill out and maintain shipping & receiving logs.
• Responsible to complete commodity contracts as required.
• Responsible for keeping various daily & weekly spreadsheets updated.
• Responsible to set up & close out daily ticket control sheets.
• Responsible for maintaining the plant trailer board and assigning trailers as needed.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned by management

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age.

• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Team player; works well with others.
• Good "hands on" working ability and skills.
• Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, office environment.
