UV Line Supervisor
Location: Newark, NJ
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
We are seeking a hands‑on UV Line Supervisor to oversee a fully automated UV finishing line operating as a single, integrated production system. This role is responsible for daily production execution, team leadership, quality control, and keeping operations running efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
This is a true floor leadership role — ideal for someone who understands machinery, can manage people under pressure, and takes ownership of hitting production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations of a fully automated UV finishing line
- Lead, train, and manage a team of 6+ production operators
- Assign roles, manage workflow, and prioritize tasks to meet production targets
- Monitor output quality, machine performance, and line efficiency
- Coordinate production schedules with Planning and Purchasing teams
- Troubleshoot basic operational or process issues and escalate to maintenance when needed
- Ensure safety protocols and company standards are followed at all times
- Maintain calm leadership during high‑pressure production periods
- Take full ownership of shift performance and results
- Proven supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or shop‑floor environment
- Strong people‑management skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable
- Comfortable working with automated machinery and production equipment
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Basic computer skills for production tracking, data entry, and communication
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute without micromanagement
- Strong communication skills across production, planning, and management
- Experience with automated production lines or finishing equipment
- Background in manufacturing environments such as wood, cabinetry, or industrial production
