Job Description
North Star Academy Nurses promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty and staff. As the school health services specialist, nurses assist our students and staff in attaining and/or maintaining optimum health, and promoting positive health habits and attitudes.
Responsibilities- Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
- Keep track of students’ vaccination records and follow up with families as needed
- Update students’ medical history and files accordingly
- Ensure school environment is safe for children and staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
- Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
- BSN preferred
- LPN willing to return to school to obtain RN degree (tuition reimbursed)

CompensationCompensation for this role is between $60,000 and $110,000. Most candidates who meet job description requirements will receive an offer of $60,000-$74,000. Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant professional development, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
