Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU night position requiring 2+ years of pediatric critical care and tele monitoring experience.

• Work in a 19-bed Pediatric ICU in a hospital setting
• Will float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed based on hospital requirements
• Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm – 7:30 am)
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2 or higher depending on acuity
• Care includes use of Medtronic pacemakers, telemetry monitoring, BIPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies
• EMR used is Epic, prior Epic experience preferred
• Provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients in the ICU
• Will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across PICU, Pediatrics, and NICU
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Background check must be clear of open or active issues
• Holiday and every other weekend coverage may be required

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of documented pediatric cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Experience with Medtronic pacemakers, tele monitoring, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Returning employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year
