Clinical Nurse Specialist
The Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Coordinator coordinates quality and performance improvement activities under the direction of hospital regulatory leadership. They align the quality and performance improvement program with the hospital's overall quality initiatives, including transparency, reporting, and communication between staff, hospital executive, and Board leadership. The coordinator maintains compliance with CMS and regulatory requirements and manages quality metric analysis and improvement activities.
QualificationsRequired. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. RN with a license to practice in New Jersey and BSN required. MSN preferred. Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including two (2) years of experience with quality and performance improvement. Must have knowledge and background in quality and safety methodologies. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as effectively with physicians and a multidisciplinary team across clinical areas.
Effective personal and professional written and verbal communication skills, strong project management skills, and customer service skills are required. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Lean training is preferred. Equivalent experience, education, and training may be substituted for the education requirements on a year-for-year basis.
