As a Registered Nurse - IV, your nursing experience and leadership abilities allow you to develop and implement quality care plans for patients, while acting as a mentor to others on the unit.

Location: Newark Wayne Hospital

Hours Per Week: 36

Schedule: 6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am + every other weekend and holiday

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

• Assessment – Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• Planning & Implementation – Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate with interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintain an appropriate nurse‑patient relationship and provide an exceptional experience for the patient and family.
• Evaluation & Education – Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities.
• Training – Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non‑clinical matters.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse.

• Associate’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology or Human Services.
• 1‑3 years of healthcare experience in a related field.
• Strong communication skills.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
