Job Summary
As Executive Sous Chef, you will lead culinary teams to execute menus that exceed guest expectations, maintain safety and sanitation standards, meet cost goals, and embody Levy’s vision and values.

Responsibilities
  • Execute menus in accordance with brand standards
  • Maintain recipes to meet core standards
  • Ensure team members deliver heartfelt hospitality consistently
  • Provide tools and support needed for team success
  • Maintain show‑quality standards at all times
  • Obtain and act on feedback from guests to improve operations
  • Support and communicate Levy initiatives
  • Assist in resolving any departmental guest service issues
  • Hold team accountable to service steps for excellent guest experience
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedule as directed by the Director of Operations
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs in culinary areas for each event
  • Continuously enhance culinary expertise and product knowledge
  • Practice proper product control and inventory handling
  • Achieve daily sales and cost goals
  • Ensure security, safety, and sanitation standards are met
  • Forecast and schedule team members to meet operational needs
  • Plan procurement to meet anticipated business levels
  • Ensure adherence to Levy guidelines in training manuals
  • Promote a positive, cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop team members per Levy standards
  • Conduct regular meetings to keep communication open between management and staff
  • Use performance‑management tools for guidance and feedback to team members
  • Mentor Sous Chefs to improve their skills and leadership abilities
  • Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
  • Effective communication with management, guests, and team members
  • Team‑builder who successfully manages and develops a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and the Internet
