As Dev Ops Customer Success Engineer, you will be bridging the gap between the applications teams and the enterprise Dev Ops platform. In this role, you will develop software solutions, implementing platform components, and implementing front-end features. In addition, you will be guiding Prudential developers to adopt the platform through collaboration, creative solutions, and technical guidance. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and technical proficiency.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

  • Help Architect solutions to build applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards, using modern design patterns and architectural principles; with guidance, actively code against the roadmap
  • Develop high quality, well documented and efficient code adhering to all applicable Prudential standards
  • Meet with development teams to understand their challenges and develop solutions
  • Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact
  • Bring an understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, begin to identify opportunities to provide feedback to the team, and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day
  • Assist with company-wide deployment and management of AI code agents
  • Work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering, or experience in related fields
  • Leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with the following:

    Programming

    Languages:

    Python, JavaScript, Terraform
    Software Architecture: distributed systems, microservices, concurrency, threading
    Frameworks:
    React, Node.js, such as Full / MEAN / MERN stack
    Data Store:
    No

    SQL or RDBMS, Data structures
    Data Queues: SQS, Kafka, Kinesis
    AI coding:
    Claude code, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf

  • Familiarity with Dev Ops:
  • Source Control: git, branching schemes, merge types, conflict resolutions
  • CI/CD Orchestration Tools:
    Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab
  • Software build tools:
    Gradle, Maven, Docker, MSBuild, make
  • Deployment Tools:
    Ansible, Terraform, Cloud Formation
  • Observability:
    Open Telemetry, Splunk, Cloud Watch, Dynatrace, Data Dog
  • Environments: AWS, Azure, containers, SaaS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity in UX/UI or front-end web design
  • Familiarity in reporting and Business Intelligence tools
  • Financial/Insurance industry knowledge is a plus, not a must

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $85,100.00 to $. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
