As a Senior Software Engineer on/in PGS Investment Accounting Technology, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to design, develop and maintain Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI, Autosys JIL, Python, Powershell/Batch scripts, Windows Servers infrastructure. You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers!

This role is based in our office in Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis at least 3 days per week.

• Develop strategic and tactical solutions for complex business challenges promptly, ensuring code follows latest coding practices and industry standards.
• Engage in development using technologies such as Power Platform, Dataverse, Power
  
  BI, Jira, Autosys JIL, Batch/Perl/Powershell scripts, Excel, SQL, Python, Oracle, SQL Server, Bit Bucket, and programming languages like Python, Java, Java Script
• Analyze system requirements of existing solutions to modernize the tech stack and remove technical impediments.
• Collaborate with product owners to understand needs and define feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design, and other team members to deliver robust solutions with significant business impact.
• Write unit, integration tests, and functional automation, addressing problems discovered by quality assurance or product support.
• Design automated testing to ensure system functionality aligns with scalable business requirements.
• Design and develop custom solutions for system changes, including full stack applications.
• Lead large cross-functional projects supporting company initiatives and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare communications and presentations on system solutions and enhancements.
• Take ownership of production issues, analyzing and collaborating with relevant areas for resolution.
• Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input, coach team members, and embed learning and innovation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Preferred majors include Management Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Economics.
