Box truck driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver to operate a non-CDL box truck for regional and long-haul deliveries. You will be responsible for safely transporting loads, maintaining open communication with dispatch and owners, and ensuring professionalism with both shippers and receivers.

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck.
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain communication about routes, delays, and delivery status.
• Secure cargo properly and adhere to DOT safety regulations.
• Keep the truck clean and report any mechanical issues.

• Valid non-CDL driver’s license.
• Preferably 1–2 years of box truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test if required.
• Familiarity with GPS, ELD (if applicable), and basic paperwork like BOLs.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.

• Compensation can be based on a percentage of the load or per-mile/per-trip, depending on experience.
• Competitive pay discussed during the interview.

• The truck is based in Newark, NJ.
• Routes may include local, regional, or out-of-state trips.
• No CDL is required, and Hazmat is not required unless you choose to add it later.
