Bus Monitor/Aide

We are hiring School Bus Monitors in Newark, NJ. As a First Student Part‑Time School Bus Monitor, you will play a vital role in your community and students’ lives by handling before‑school pick‑up and after‑school drop‑off shifts. No experience as a bus monitor is required; we train you with industry‑leading technology.

Responsibilities
  • A split shift: an early morning before‑school pickup and an after‑school drop‑off with free hours in between.
  • Guaranteed shift of 4 hours per school day, no nighttime or weekend work unless requested.
  • Additional hours through trips and charters when available.
Benefits
  • Pay: $15.49 per hour.

Qualifications
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Looking for a part‑time schedule.

  • No college degree or high school diploma.
  • Military experience.
  • Retirees or returning to workforce.
  • Looking to jump start a new career.
