Qualifications / Requirements:

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• One to three years of relevant business, financial, or analytical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze and interpret data
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an interdisciplinary team member
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
• Must be resident of Ohio

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a higher education environment
• Experience building reports and extracting data from multiple systems or platforms
• Prior experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or Workday
• Strong information technology aptitude and experience supporting data-driven decision-making
• Experience building reports and extracting data from various platforms

This is an onsite position. Remote work is not available.

The Business Analyst supports the Business and Finance team at Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark by providing data analysis, reporting, and financial insights that inform decision‑making. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the role supports budgeting, forecasting, position control, operational expenditures, and process improvement initiatives.

The Business Analyst collaborates with campus partners to evaluate departments, academic programs, and new initiatives, develops reports and resources to enhance transparency and efficiency, and provides data related to student scholarships and institutional priorities.

M – F, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, on‑site
