Job DescriptionWe are a periodontal practice focused on diagnosing, treating, and preventing periodontal disease. Our hygienists build relationships with patients and emphasize strong communication to deliver an exceptional patient experience. By joining our practice, you will have opportunities to learn and grow in a modern office setting with a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
- Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
- Communicate with doctor regarding opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
- Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients
- Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
- X-Ray/Radiology Certification where state regulations specify
- Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification where state regulations specify

Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
