About the RoleAs a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment and evaluation of eye conditions. As an independent contractor with VES, you will apply your expertise in diagnosing eye conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim.
Responsibilities- Gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face‑to‑face examinations.
- Develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service.
- Ensure that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.
- Ophthalmologist or Optometrist
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Doctorate Degree in Optometry
- An active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed.
- Must have a practice location with visual field testing capabilities.
- Provide a meaningful service for the men and women who have worn the cloth of our nation.
