Our client is seeking a General Practitioner Attorney to establish and manage its Newark, Ohio office. This role blends legal practice, office leadership, and community engagement, providing an opportunity to grow a thriving legal presence while serving individuals, families, and businesses in Newark and Licking County. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with leadership potential, a passion for community, and a drive to build a strong local office.
Job Responsibilities- Represent clients with care, precision, and integrity in litigation or transactional matters.
- Build relationships through civic, nonprofit, and community involvement.
- Serve as an ambassador for our client and its community-focused mission.
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Supervise and mentor paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff.
- Maintain firm culture and uphold standards of client service.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to meet growth and service goals.
- Grow practice area and client base through referrals, networking, and local partnerships.
- Track matter economics, projections, and client satisfaction metrics.
- Manage case files, court appearances, negotiations, and client strategy.
- Communicate clearly about case progress, expectations, and fees.
- JD and active Ohio Bar admission (required).
- 3–5+ years of legal experience (litigation or transactional).
- Proven leadership and management ability.
- Strong communication, organization, and delegation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and service.
- Commitment to community involvement and local engagement.
- Tech‑savvy and adaptable with modern case management tools.
