JOB SUMMARY

The Wellness Advisor at Sunnyside Newark, OH will advise customers (recreational, medical, and caregivers) in selecting appropriate cannabis products, acting as an ambassador of our mission to normalize, professionalize and revolutionize cannabis. You will use customer service, product knowledge, and state compliance adherence to ensure a best-in-class experience. Wellness Advisors manage the customer lifecycle from check-in to consultation, order fulfillment to checkout, with compliance to applicable state and company regulations at the forefront.

Our dispensaries are typically open 7 days a week, and we value flexibility to work across opening and closing shifts, including weekends and holidays. Part-time schedules are 15–25 hours per week, typically based around peak hours.

CORE JOB DUTIES
  • Greet customers to provide a best-in-class experience.
  • Build relationships by asking questions and listening to customer needs.
  • Assist customers in product selection by educating on cannabis products and their effects.
  • Apply effective selling and cross-selling techniques to build baskets.
  • Verify proper documentation and  customers.
  • Assist in verifying the accuracy of orders being dispensed in a timely fashion.
  • Label and package customer orders.
  • Perform accurate cash handling in the Point of Sale system per SOPs.
  • Maintain records of dispensary activities in accordance with state regulation and company standards.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and ensure stock meets compliance regulations.
  • Assist in organizing sales floor merchandise and product displays.
  • Ensure security and safety compliance in the store per SOPs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment for customers and team members.
  • Escalate any employee or customer issues to management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service; retail or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
