Senior Diesel/CNG Mechanic – $3,000 Sign‑On Bonus

As a Senior Diesel/CNG Mechanic at WM, you will maintain and repair trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA.

• Starting salary of $28‑$39 per hour, depending on experience

• Monday–Friday, all shifts available, no weekends
• Repair/maintenance shop at Newark, OH hauling site

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles, ensuring compliance with corporate / OSHA standards
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing
• Exposure to physical occupational risks (cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.) often
• Exposure to environmental elements (dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, heat, humidity) – inside garage/shop and outside conditions
