The primary purpose of the Child Support Case Manager position is to manage child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures, including reviewing cases, conducting investigations, and enforcing child support orders.
- Maintains case tracking enforcement system, provides narratives of case activities, and responds to notifications.
- Processes appropriate documentation for child support cases, generates letters and forms, and revises case information as needed.
- Testifies in court if necessary, attends court hearings, and prepares cases for legal action.
- Keeps abreast of changes in child support program laws, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED, and 1 year experience in a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, experience with computer systems, and proficient with computers.
- Social services, child support, and domestic relations / family law experience are a plus.
Compensation:
Salary: $21.27 / hour (per union contract).
