Senior Pharmacy Technician – Providence Newberg Medical Center, Newberg, OR
Schedule: Part Time, Day Shift
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt, accurate manner. Responsibilities include filling/dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). The role requires advanced knowledge and skills in at least two specialty areas in pharmacy.

Required Qualifications- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician (OCPT) or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License, upon hire
- Minimum 2 years ( ≥ 4160 hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with PTCB certification – or 3 years ( ≥ 6240 hours) of hospital pharmacy experience if no PTCB
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent coursework/training
- Advanced PTCB certifications (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances)
- Specialty certification (e.g., ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state
Base pay range: $25.23 – $38.61 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
