Radiology Technologist – Providence Newberg Medical Center
Job Summary
Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients’ unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment regarding proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce optimal high‑quality images while maintaining minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator in accordance with ALARA principles.
Compensation & Benefits
$4,000 Sign‑On Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – in addition to the comprehensive benefits and compensation package that begins on your first day of employment.

Responsibilities
- Perform imaging examinations as ordered by physicians.
- Position patients and calibrate equipment to achieve optimal image quality.
- Apply clinical judgment to determine appropriate radiation exposure and techniques.
- Maintain ALARA awareness to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Education that meets certification, license or registration requirements.
- Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, OR Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
- National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association upon hire.
- New graduates must hold an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
