Job Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following ACR, MQSA, and facility protocols.

• Conduct 3D (tomosynthesis), stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and fine needle aspiration procedures as ordered.

• Prepare and position patients for optimal imaging, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the procedure.

• Review images for proper positioning, labeling, and exposure; maintain image quality and radiation safety standards.

• Document and maintain patient information, imaging data, and procedure notes accurately using EPIC or approved charting systems.

• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely patient care.

• Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment, ensuring compliance with quality control and regulatory standards.

• Follow infection control and isolation precaution protocols in inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Provide compassionate communication and education to patients regarding procedures and follow-up care.
Required

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist in an inpatient or outpatient clinical setting.

• Proficient in 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, stereotactic biopsy, and needle localization procedures.

• Strong understanding of breast anatomy, imaging physics, and radiation safety practices.

• Experience using EPIC charting system (required).

• Excellent patient interaction, communication, and teamwork skills.
Certifications & Licensure:

• ARRT (R) – Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
