As a store associate, you open and close the store, prepare the floor and stock room for the business day, handle product returns, refunds, and cash drops, provide change to customers, deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, and support the team in operations, inventory, pricing, displays, and compliance.
Customer Experience- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models customer service best practices and shares Walgreens service traits with team members.
- Responsible for holding store keys and opening/closing the store without management.
- Assists and coaches team members on vendor ordering process and opening the backdoor for deliveries.
- Registers all related sales on assigned cash register, records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
- Assists manager on order exceptions, reverse logistics, and display evaluation.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts, pricing, and displays.
- Assists with bookkeeping activities including cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
- Maintains clean, orderly store condition and appearance.
- Ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding regulated products.
- Assists at pharmacy out window as requested.
- Coordinates bag checks before leaving the store.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serves as a liaison between management and staff by communicating assigned tasks.
- Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.

- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Salary Range: $18 - $21 / Hourly
