Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide deskside and remote technical support for end users. This role focuses on hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 support, and device deployment/migration. You will ensure smooth refresh cycles, resolve technical issues, and maintain a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities- Provide IT support for deskside hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and basic networking components.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for end users.
- Execute device refreshes and new deployments using tools such as PXE Boot, SCCM, or Microsoft Autopilot.
- Perform imaging, configuration, and data migration for new and existing devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, One Drive, and Office Suite.
- Manage endpoint configurations and policies through Microsoft Intune.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployments, troubleshooting steps, and asset inventory.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance and security standards are met.
- Hands‑on IT support experience with deskside hardware and peripherals.
- Experience with deployment/migration tools (PXE Boot, SCCM, or Microsoft Autopilot).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and Intune.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
- Training on advanced Microsoft migration tools will be provided.
- Occasional travel and lifting of equipment (up to 35 lbs) may be required.
This is a Contract position based out of Newberry, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
