Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity within an Early Years / EYFS setting?

We are recruiting for a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming and supportive primary school in the NP11 area from November 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, Nursery Assistant, Early Years Practitioner or Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children with their learning, development and confidence.

The Early Years Teaching Assistant Role
  • Support pupils within an Early Years / Foundation Phase classroom
  • Encourage learning and development through play-based activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Support children's communication, social skills and independence
  • Assist pupils with a range of learning abilities and additional needs
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team
  • Support with classroom activities, resources and daily routines
What We're Looking For
  • Have experience working with Early Years, Nursery or Primary School aged children
  • Be confident supporting children's learning and development
  • Have a caring, patient and nurturing approach
  • Be enthusiastic and able to engage young learners
  • Work effectively as part of a school team
  • Have experience supporting ALN/SEN, although this is not essential
  • Be available for full-time work from November 2026

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
