Job Purpose
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Administrator to join our Engineering team at the Crumlin Manufacturing Site. This key support role within a busy engineering department is responsible for coordinating and managing a range of administrative activities that enable the Engineering team to operate efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, planners, contractors and suppliers to ensure engineering parts, services and maintenance activities are supported through robust administration processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process engineering purchase orders using Unilever purchasing systems.
  • Order engineering spare parts and consumables to maintain agreed stock levels.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and queries.
  • Track and help manage the site R&M Spend and actively seek cost savings where possible.
  • Manage engineers clocking in’s, sickness and leave using Open options system.
  • Raise purchase orders for contractor works and engineering services.
  • Receive, check and process deliveries in line with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and transactions within SAP.
  • Manage the engineering parts booking‑in and booking‑out process.
  • Create and maintain new part numbers and equipment records within SAP.
  • Support the Engineering Planner and Engineering Team to ensure required parts are available for planned maintenance activities.
  • Prepare maintenance kits for scheduled engineering work.
  • Carry out cycle counts and support stock accuracy initiatives.
  • Complete engineering and spare parts surveys as required.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and records to a high standard.
  • Support the preparation and organisation of stores locations for new equipment, machinery and spare parts.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained within the engineering stores and administration areas.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous experience within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Engineering or maintenance administration experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS/ERP systems.
  • Experience of purchasing processes and inventory management.
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance activities.
