Adecco are recruiting for a Demand Planner for their client based in Newbury.

Key Duties

Build and maintain demand forecasts for spare parts using historical data, trends, and system insights.
Track and manage inventory levels across a large SKU range to balance availability and stock efficiency.
Create purchase orders in SAP and liaise with HQ regarding inbound deliveries.
Assess the existing spare parts catalogue and highlight items suitable for discontinuation based on usage and lifecycle analysis.
Work closely with teams to ensure inventory decisions align with business objectives.
Prepare rationalisation proposals and present findings to stakeholders.
Ensure spare parts master data is accurate and maintained within ERP systems such as SAP.
Produce routine reports on stock performance, forecast accuracy, and potential obsolescence.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory planning and control.

Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP platforms (SAP desirable).
Able to translate data into clear recommendations and insights.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Well organised, with the ability to manage large and complex SKU ranges.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
Previous exposure to managing extensive SKU portfolios, ideally within spares or aftermarket environments.
Understanding of forecasting methodologies and inventory optimisation principles.
