We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, award‑winning, privately owned construction contractor with a strong regional presence across the South of England. With over 50 years in the industry and an annual turnover of around £70m, this business delivers Traditional and Design & Build projects across the Education, Residential, Healthcare and Industrial sectors, typically valued between £1m‑£20m. The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Writer / Bid Coordinator to join the Pre‑Construction team, playing a key role in producing high‑quality, compelling tenders and proposals. You will be responsible for coordinating and writing bids from PQQ through to final submission, working closely with internal teams to ensure a consistent, professional, and winning approach.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate bid submissions from start to finish
- Write and edit high‑quality, persuasive bid content
- Manage bid programmes, deadlines, and inputs from stakeholders
- Collaborate with estimating, design, and commercial teams
- Ensure all submissions align with client requirements and company standards
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer or Bid Coordinator within the construction sector
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Experience with D&B and traditional procurement routes (preferred)
- Salary circa £65,000, dependent on experience
