A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Newbury is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication needs, and complex learning difficulties. This is a full-time, long-term role within a nurturing and inclusive setting.
The SEN Teaching Assistant position is ideal for graduates or individuals looking to gain practical experience in SEN, education, psychology, or child development.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Newbury
Salary: £89-£100 per day
Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Experience:
Preferred but not essential
Role Responsibilities
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions
Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
Helping to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is an excellent stepping stone for aspiring SEN teachers, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, or mental health professionals.
