We are seeking enthusiastic SEND staff at all levels to join a forward-thinking SEND school in Newbury. The school welcomes applications from experienced SEND professionals as well as individuals starting their careers in special education.

Available positions include:
  • SEND Teaching Assistants (1:1 & Classroom Support)
  • Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
  • Behaviour Mentors
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
  • Cover Supervisors
  • Qualified SEND Teachers (Primary & Secondary)
About the School

The school provides tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, such as:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
  • Complex and multiple learning needs

The focus is on inclusive, personalised learning within a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities (Role Dependent)
  • Supporting pupils with SEND in 1:1 or group settings
  • Delivering differentiated lessons (for teaching roles)
  • Implementing EHCPs, IEPs, and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
  • Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Patience, resilience, and flexibility
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications for teaching or HLTA roles
