At Park House School, we are looking for a talented and passionate Teacher of English to join our team.

As a member of our English Department, you will deliver high-quality teaching that engages, challenges and inspires students to achieve their full potential. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of an ambitious curriculum, support students' academic and personal development, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator, whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced professional, who is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people while contributing to a thriving and supportive school community.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject teaching qualification (QTS)
• Offers a flexible approach to the teaching of English that seeks to promote the learning opportunities of all students and to secure the highest possible levels of achievement
• Has excellent communication skills and ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people - students, colleagues and parents

We are based in Newbury in Berkshire which in itself is in a beautiful area of the country and provides good access to Oxford and London. This is best evidenced by our incredibly strong results through 2024, 2025, and this summer. Whilst the nation's results have continued to decline back to pre-pandemic levels, Park House has continued its trajectory of improvements and in 2025 attained their best results ever thermore, the school has attained the highest grades at GCSE in all non-selective schools in Berkshire.
