About The Role
As a Project Engineer (Streetworks), you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of street works projects, ensuring that engineering standards are met and maintained. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the management and coordination of street works projects, from initial design through to completion
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance with specifications
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external organisations to ensure effective project delivery
- Providing technical advice and guidance on engineering issues related to street works
- Supporting the Senior Engineer in the overall management of the street works function
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in project engineering, with a focus on street works or highways engineering
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
