Commissioning Engineer - Electrical or Process background Thames Region Permanent job Looking for your next challenge in the water sector? First Recruitment are working with a major engineering contractor delivering key water infrastructure projects across the Thames region. They're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in bringing new installations and upgrades into operation.

What you'll be doing
• Planning and carrying out commissioning activities on water and wastewater projects
• Testing and verifying electrical, mechanical and process systems
• Supporting site teams through commissioning, start-up and handover
• Troubleshooting faults and resolving technical issues
• Working closely with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure successful delivery
• Completing commissioning documentation and reports What they're looking for
• Previous commissioning experience or a strong electrical engineering background
• Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
• Experience with in the water sector, pharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals
• Good understanding of health & safety and commissioning procedures
• Ability to work across multiple sites within the Thames region
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills The role doesn't have a base location as it covers UK wide projects, although most will be Thames region.
