Management Accountant

We are looking for a management accountant to join the team based in either our Newbury or Presteigne office to work with the Financial Controller to deliver the management accounts and finance requirements for 3 businesses (Teledyne Reynolds, Teledyne Labtech & Teledyne Datacom) within the TADE UK group of Teledyne Technologies.

Teledyne Labtech is one of the worlds most advanced manufacturers of RF & Microwave PCB, specialising in metal back PCB, mixed dielectric multilayer PCB & Antenna.

Teledyne Reynolds UK are experts in providing high quality, high voltage interconnect solutions to the most demanding applications in the Defence, Industrial, Medical, Energy and Space sectors.

Teledyne Paradise Datacom specialise in high performance satellite modems for secure, reliable communication in commercial and military applications.

• Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentary
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved
• Controlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliations
• Monitoring projects for ASC
  606 compliance and monthly valuation of ASC
  606
• Assisting with inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock counts
• Monitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management team
• Analysis of Sales and orders
• Operational excellence reporting and control – MWC, DSO etc.
• Margin analysis and 80/20 quad analysis
• Assisting in the preparation of the weekly 80/20 reports
• Approving RFQ’s and orders and working with the business team to ensure quote margins meet business plans.
• Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awareness
• Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results
• Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Various ad hoc tasks

• Candidates must be ideally CIMA or ACCA qualified or finalist. Individuals qualified by experience will be considered.
• Proven experience working across businesses within a Management Accountant capacity
• Excellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior level
• A continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills
• Able to work autonomously
