About the role

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner & FP&A Manager is a senior finance role responsible for driving Node4's group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes and for providing high-quality financial planning and analysis (FP&A) across the group. The role acts as a trusted business partner to the heads of Node4's central functions, owns the group's three-year plan (3YP) forecasting model, and delivers cross-group analysis that informs strategic and operational decision-making at the most senior levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities Group budgeting & forecasting
  • Lead, coordinate and run the group-wide annual budgeting process end to end, working with budget holders across the business to build robust, well-supported plans.
  • Own the periodic reforecasting cycle, ensuring forecasts are timely, accurate and clearly reconciled to budget and prior forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain consistent planning templates, timetables, assumptions and governance so that budgeting and forecasting run efficiently across all group entities.
  • Consolidate group submissions, challenge inputs constructively, and present clear variance analysis and commentary to the Finance Director and CFO.
Business partnering to central functions
  • Act as the primary finance business partner to the heads of the group's central functions, building strong, trusted working relationships.
  • Support function heads in managing their cost bases, understanding financial performance, and making well-informed decisions on spend and investment.
  • Translate financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-finance stakeholders, and hold constructive challenge on performance against budget and forecast.
  • Support business cases, headcount planning and investment appraisals for central functions.
Group-wide FP&A
  • Provide FP&A support for analysis that reaches across the group, bringing together data from multiple entities and functions into a coherent group view.
  • Deliver insightful analysis on performance, trends, drivers and risks and opportunities to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, KPIs and management information that give leadership a clear, consistent picture of group performance.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and modelling for the CFO, Finance Director and wider leadership team, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Ownership of the 3-Year Plan (3YP) model
  • Own, maintain and continuously develop the group's three-year plan (3YP) forecasting model, ensuring it is accurate, robust and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure the model integrates the group's budgets, forecasts and strategic assumptions and produces a fully linked view of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow where appropriate.
  • Run scenario and sensitivity analysis through the model to support strategic planning, board reporting and investor discussions.
  • Safeguard the integrity, version control and documentation of the model so it remains a reliable single source of truth for long-range planning.
What will you bring? Essential
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
  • Significant experience of finance business partnering, including working closely with senior, non-finance stakeholders.
  • Significant experience of budgeting and forecasting, ideally at group or multi-entity level.
