Newbury (Hybrid). Daily Rate: £550 - £650 p.d Outside IR35. Clearance: UKSV DV Clearance Required.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support a high-profile programme within the defence sector. This contract role will focus on designing, building, and integrating secure cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments.

You'll play a key role in delivering scalable AWS solutions using Infrastructure as Code, while ensuring seamless integration with existing on-premises systems.

• Design, configure, and deploy AWS infrastructure and networking using Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Develop and maintain reusable, best-practice IaC modules.
• Deliver secure and high-performing networking across AWS and hybrid environments.
• Design and implement integrations between on-prem and cloud (VPNs, Direct Connect, hybrid DNS, routing).
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and performance issues.

• Strong experience managing AWS environments at scale.
• Hands‑on expertise with Terraform and Cloud Formation (or similar IaC tools).
• Solid networking knowledge (DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls).
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on‑prem integration patterns.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with a security‑first mindset.
