Base pay range
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and friendly Residential Property team in Newbury
. This role is ideal for someone with previous conveyancing experience or strong administrative skills who is keen to develop their career within property law.
- Supporting fee earners with residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
- Preparing and managing legal documentation, including contracts and completion statements
- Opening, maintaining and closing files in accordance with firm procedures
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors
- Handling searches, Land Registry applications and post‑completion matters
- Managing correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries
- Assisting with billing, time recording and general administrative tasks
- Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal support role preferred
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Professional, approachable and client‑focused
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude
