We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our modern workshop facility in Newbury.

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per year (Dependent on experience).
• Guaranteed Weekends Off: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30—enjoy complete weekend freedom with strictly zero weekend shifts required.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newbury workshop, you will:

• Execute expert maintenance & repairs across the VAG (Volkswagen Group) vehicle range to strict manufacturer standards.
• Utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to systematically locate, investigate, and repair complex electronic and mechanical faults.
• Work directly with modern EV & Hybrid technology
  , including the latest high-voltage systems and electric drive trains.
• Deliver first-time fixes while maintaining clean digital job records and collaborating with a supportive technical team.

• Qualifications &
  
  Experience:
  
  NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) with 1+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Junior Technician. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
  An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop duties. Passion for VAG marques, strong diagnostic mindset, pride in clean workmanship, and a desire for long-term career growth.
