Qualified Social Worker – Children's Services West Berkshire Council – Market Street, RG14 5LD
£37.00 per hour Hybrid - minimum 2 days in the office Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required
Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join West Berkshire Council's Children's Services on a temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Children's Social Worker with experience working within a statutory setting, looking to join an established local authority service.
The Role You will be responsible for working with children, young people and their families, completing high-quality assessments and ensuring children receive the appropriate support and intervention.
Key responsibilities will include:- Working directly with children and young people within a statutory setting
- Completing assessments and identifying children and families' needs
- Applying assessment skills to determine appropriate interventions
- Working in accordance with statutory Children's Services procedures
- Supporting children in need and children in care
- Undertaking child protection work
- Working collaboratively with families, professionals and partner agencies
- Chairing and contributing to multi-agency meetings
- Developing effective care and support plans
- Managing risk and safeguarding concerns
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records
- Ensuring the voice, wishes and feelings of children and young people remain central to your practice
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Current Social Work England registration
- Experience working within statutory Children's Services
- Experience working directly with children and young people
- Strong assessment skills
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Knowledge of working with children in care
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- Confidence chairing multi-agency meetings
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- £37 per hour
