Position: Engage Life Program Instructor

Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned Engage Life programs.
  • Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with sufficient supervision for each activity.
  • Develop programs for residents, including programs designed for residents confined to their rooms.
  • Engage and motivate residents to increase program participation.
  • Inform residents of upcoming activities and maintain a current schedule of events on the bulletin board.
  • Greet new residents, making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds.
  • Assist in planning parties and activities, and decorating the community during seasons and holidays, as well as monthly birthday parties.
  • Assist in Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
  • Support and actively participate in the community’s census building initiatives.
  • Maintain records of all activities, resident participation levels and acceptance of each activity by residents as required by state law.
  • Assist Engage Life Director in enlisting the services of volunteers to aid the activities program.
  • Drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations, if required by the community.
  • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
