CMM Inspector

A fast-growing advanced manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology in a high‑tech environment and contribute to precision manufacturing excellence.

Location

Newburyport, Mass - M‑F 2nd shift (2pm‑10pm OR 3pm‑11pm)

Start Date

ASAP

Duration

6‑month contract plus extension

Employment Type

Green card holders and U.S. citizens only

Must‑Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality/CMM Inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Calypso software is preferred. (NOT REQUIRED)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to inspect complex precision components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop and execute inspection plans.
  • Perform first article, in‑process, and final inspections.
  • Analyze and report measurement data, identifying trends and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve non‑conformances.
  • Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment.
  • Document inspection results and maintain traceability per quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, medical device, or precision manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of SPC and data analysis tools.
