General Summary

The Senior Manager of Test Operations provides leadership and oversight to test departments with responsibility for making high-quality assembled finished goods. Responsible for implementing systems and focusing teams to meet business objectives and goals. Focusing on continual improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures production material is processed in a high-quality manner while meeting production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to development of test floor priorities and goals, ensuring alignment to, for example, business objectives, quality objectives, and product requirements and standards.
  • Sets test floor priorities considering importance, on time delivery, and scheduled out dates.
  • Manages the hiring, staffing, training, and development of a diverse and effective team.
  • Implement strategic test operations plans affecting capacity, technology and automation, and process capability.
  • Track key process indicators for manufacturing areas and develop plans to meet business objectives.
  • Drive continual improvement programs based on lean manufacturing methodology.
  • Communicate updates and other information to stakeholders in multiple departments and at various levels in the organization.
  • Responsible for career development/planning, performance of team members.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve overall processes, methods, and systems.
  • Ensure that work areas conform to corporate and 6S standards.
  • Manages team of operators, technicians, work leaders / supervisors, and managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, microelectronics, business management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing semiconductor assembly, testing, or other related operation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills related to manufacturing operation.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor assembly, materials, processes, and equipment.
  • High organization skills.
  • Computer skills, specifically with MES systems.
  • Understanding quality standard and drive for continuous improvement.
  • As a senior manager, it is expected that this individual represents, supports, and encourages the Rochester culture as well as ensures that their team follows best and safe work practices, specs, and policies set forth within the company.
