A well-established manufacturing company in Newburyport, MA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on production and packaging equipment
Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine performance and reliability
Ensure that machinery, tools, and work spaces meet safety and operational standards
Collaborate with production team and management to identify equipment needs and priorities
Requirements & QualificationsMinimum 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, conveyors, and motors
Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and reliability‑centered maintenance
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience and commitment to OSHA safety practices
Experience with ink press or packaging equipment is a strong plus
High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred
